Michael “Mike” R. Sharpe, 64 of Erie, MI, died Saturday, March 29, 2014. Born January 3, 1950 in Liberty Center, OH, he was the son of Raymond and Geneva (Davis) Sharpe. A graduate of Liberty Center High School, he served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Linda M. Rapp on March 16, 1991. Mike owned and operated Sharpe Distributing in Erie for the past 16 years. He was a member of Conn-Weissenberger Post 587, American Legion in Toledo. He was an avid Ohio State Football fan and golfer.
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda. Children, Tammy (Tom), Dave and Michelle. Grandchildren, Taylor, Emma, Ella and special daughter-in-law, Janet. Brothers, Thomas Sharpe and David (Donna) Sharpe. Sisters, Julie Ann (Ray) Townley and Kathleen Sharpe. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
